Israeli army says it arrested senior Islamic Group member in overnight south Lebanon raid

An Israeli military spokesperson said troops carried out an overnight operation in southern Lebanon, arresting what Israel described as a senior member linked to the Islamic Group.

In a statement, Israeli army spokesman Avichay Adraee said forces from the 210th Division raided a building overnight in Lebanon’s south after what he described as intelligence gathered over recent weeks. He said the suspect was detained and transferred to Israel for interrogation, adding that weapons were found inside the building.

Adraee claimed the Islamic Group has carried out attacks against Israel and its citizens during the war and in recent days along the northern front.
