Israeli army claims it killed Hezbollah air defense unit member in South Lebanon

The Israeli army claimed it killed a member of Hezbollah’s air defense unit during an airstrike in South Lebanon, according to a statement posted by its Arabic-language spokesperson Avichay Adraee on X.

Adraee said the strike was carried out on Sunday in Harouf, southern Lebanon, killing Ali al-Hadi Mustafa al-Haqqani, whom he described as a key operative in Hezbollah’s air defense unit.

He claimed that al-Haqqani had recently been responsible for attempts to rebuild military infrastructure linked to the unit.

In a separate strike earlier on Monday, the Israeli army said it targeted Ansariyeh, South Lebanon, killing another Hezbollah member who was allegedly involved in efforts to reestablish military infrastructure for the group.
