Lebanon coordinates response to displacement crisis as aid improves

Head of the Disaster Risk Management Unit, Zahi Chahine, said the Lebanese state is working as an integrated team to address the consequences of displacement, highlighting the close follow-up by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam.

Speaking at a press conference, Chahine said that resources and aid were limited in the early days of the crisis but have since improved with the mobilization of international organizations and friendly countries, as well as the arrival of assistance to Lebanon.

He added that aid is being distributed transparently and called for stronger coordination with municipalities, shelters, and relevant sectors to ensure the effective use of resources in support of displaced people.
