Mountain and support wall collapse on Chekka-Batroun highway

A mountain and a support wall collapsed on Monday on the Chekka-Batroun highway, injuring 3 people and causing a suffocating traffic jam.

The Traffic Management Center said that the Chekka highway was cut off in both directions and the traffic was converted to the Hamat road.

This as North Lebanon Governor Ramzi Nohra had asked since last Friday to stop the passage of cars on the western route and to convert the eastern route into two lines.
