Between the morning meeting for senior officials of the states taking part in the Arab Economic and Social Development Summit and the afternoon session that was attended by permanent delegations at the Arab League, it was decided to keep the agenda of the Beirut summit, while removing articles and adding others.
The most prominent amendment made to the agenda was the proposal of the Lebanese delegation to add the following expression to the item pertaining to the issue of the Syrian refugees: in favor of the safe and dignified return of the refugees without linking the process to the political solution in Syria.
