A proposal has been presented to cut down the salaries of military and civil personnel of the public sector, since the country has been witnessing a critical economic situation.
But shouldn't the state hold accountable those who took advantage of their positions in the public sector to acquire illegitimate fortunes during their tenure, depriving the treasury from funds?
Accordingly, Strong Lebanon deputies along with MP Jamil al-Sayyed presented two draft laws pertaining to lifting the bank secrecy off ministers, deputies and public sector employees.
