[VIDEO] Tripoli’s Woes Deepen As Citizens Decry Loss Of Livelihood

There is another side to loss in the aftermath of violent clashes and Tripoli is no stranger to such loss.

Although human life is priceless, continuity in the form of maintaining citizens’ livelihoods, dignity and working space is also a matter of great importance.

These are the photos that I had taken on the sidelines of my mission as I covered the economic repercussions that had come as a result of the latest clashes in the northern Lebanese city of Tripoli.

As we can see, they are truly heartbreaking, as a job ultimately leads to a better income and a better standard of living.

This woman for instance lost her daughter and is now left to fend for herself and her four grandchildren. The clashes have left her without a home and we are left speechless.
