Iran urges Qatar to transfer detained pilots to hospital on land

Iranian news agency Tasnim reported that an Iranian military official on Saturday called on Qatar to transfer detained Iranian pilots to a hospital on land, saying they were being held at sea and were in “poor physical condition.”

Mohammad Bagherzadeh, head of the Missing Persons Search Committee at the General Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, said the location where the pilots are being held is unsuitable. He also called on the International Committee of the Red Cross to send a medical evacuation aircraft to Qatar to expedite the return of the injured and sick detainees to Iran.
