Bahrain summons Lebanese diplomat in protest of Berri’s speech

Undersecretary of the Bahraini Foreign Affairs Ministry Ambassador Hamad Ahmed Abdulaziz Al-Amer handed the Charge d'Affaires of the Lebanese embassy in Bahrain Sami Haddad an “official protest memorandum” in protest of the speech held by Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri at the photographs exhibition in Beirut about events in Bahrain.

The Bahraini Foreign Ministry slammed the content of Berri’s speech, saying that it contained false allegations. The ministry was surprised by this provocative step and this setback in bilateral relations.
