Hariri: Independence Day obliges us to hold on to the authority of the State

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri made several phone calls from his residence in Riyadh, where he contacted Lebanese President Michel Sleiman, Speaker Nabih Berri, Army Chief General Jean Kahwaji and Internal Security Forces Director General Brig. Gen. Ashraf Rifi and congratulated them on the occasion of Lebanon’s 69th Independence Day.

Hariri stressed that this important national occasion obliges the people and the officials to adhere to the authority of the State and its constitutional, military and security institutions in order to be able to preserve the nation's unity and peace and to ensure the security of the Lebanese citizens in facing the current challenges and difficulties taking over Lebanon and the Arab region.
