Relatives of Lebanese hostages in Aazaz stage sit-in near UNIFIL Turkish contingent in south

The relatives of the Lebanese hostages in Aazaz staged on Sunday a sit-in near the headquarters of the Turkish UNIFIL contingent in the South, where they declared that “they do want to see any Turkish national in Lebanon”, should the authorities fail to release the hostages before the 22nd of May.

This as a number of buses coming from the neighboring towns arrived to the place of the sit-in, where the hostages’ relatives denounced keeping the nine Lebanese nationals in custody.

In this context, Hajja Hayat Awali told LBCI that “Turkey is no longer welcomed in Lebanon,” noting that the video reassured all the relatives that the hostages are alive, but “it was clear that they are not in good health,” she noted.
