PM-Designate Salam meets with delegation of Economic Bodies headed by former Minister Qassar

Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam met on Tuesday with a delegation of the Economic Bodies headed by former Minister Adnan Qassar who briefed Salam over the economists concerns.

Following the meeting, Qassar said “that the economic bodies supported PM-Designate Salam in his efforts to form a government of national unity.”

On behalf of the economic bodies, Qassar urged the March 8 and 14 alliances to prioritize finding the best solutions for Lebanon’s pending issues, sparing the country tensions that negatively impact the economic and security situations.

He also said that Lebanon must urgently restore the confidence of Arab and foreign investors in a bid to facilitate their return to Lebanon.

Salam later met with MP Nabil de Freij who briefed him on the Economic Parliamentary Committee's meetings with different economic bodies "whose common request is the swift formation of a new government."
