Roknabadi: The way out of the crisis in Syria does not reside in a military solution

The Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Roknabadi said Thursday that the principal reason behind the delay of the Geneva 2 peace conference is discord among the Syrian opposition, stressing that the way out of the crisis in Syria did not reside in a military solution but a political one instead.

Roknabadi reiterated after his visit to caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour that the issue needs to be solved in one proposal saying: "The focus should be placed on the first groups that entered Syria and caused the crisis and which place a threat to all factions whether in Lebanon or in the region."
