Protesters cut-off several roads to demand reopening of Arsal-Labweh route

A number of protesters blocked on Tuesday the Chtaura-Baalbek highway in Taalabaya with burning tires and rocks to protest the closure of al-Labweh - Arsal road.

Similarly, demonstrators cut-off the Qob Elias Amiq road in al-Bahsasa as well as al-Madina al-Riyadya road in Beirut.

Several roads in Western and Central Bekaa were also blocked in solidarity with Arsal residents.
As well, the highway linking Sidon to Beirut was reopened shortly after it was blocked in the region of al-Saadyat.

The road towards the bordering town of Arsal remained closed by residents for the second consecutive day to protest the Syrian shelling targeting the town.
