Lebanon's cabinet tackles financial situation at Grand Serail
Lebanon's cabinet held on Tuesday a session at the Grand Serail whereby Finance Minister Ali Hassan Khalil explained, in detail, the financial situation in the country.

The session, chaired by Prime Minister Tammam Salam, was held in the absence of the following ministers: Michel Pharaon, Gebran Bassil, Ghazi Zeaiter and Arthur Nazarian.

Following the session, Information Minister Ramzi Jreij said PM Salam delivered an opening speech in which he tackled the critical situation the country is currently going through.

"Lebanon's security situation will be tackled during the next cabinet session to be held on Thursday," Jreij said.

He also said minister Khalil provided extensive details on the financial situation, noting that he made suggestions and recommendations that aim to reduce the budget deficit and increase revenues.
