Israel raises alert level along Lebanon’s southern border
The Israeli army raised on Monday its state of alert along the Lebanese southern border, notably near the occupied Shebaa Farms, in anticipation of military developments that may occur in the wake of Israeli airstrikes on areas inside Syria on Sunday, the state-run National News Agency reported.

“Intensive patrols as well as Infantry Force members backed by tanks and equipped with control devices were seen near the areas of al-Wazzani, al-Ghajar, al-Abbasieh, the Shebaa hills and the occupied Kfarshouba,” the agency said.

It added that the Israeli army is monitoring the situation on the Lebanese side while Israeli reconnaissance planes and helicopters are hovering over the Shebaa Farms, the Mount Hermon heights and Al-Arkoub town.
