Industry Minister Hussein Hajj Hassan stressed Sunday that there is an economic problem in Lebanon, as unemployment exceeded 30%, noting that the economic crisis has reached a point where it requires measures to be taken by the government, “knowing that during the rule of President Michel Aoun and Prime Minister Saad Hariri, important achievements have been made, such as the new electoral law, the administrative appointments, the budget and the new pay scale.”
“But on the economic scale, nothing has been accomplished,” the minister said, pointing out that he called for the formation of an economic committee.
In a speech he delivered during a ceremony in Hermel, he revealed that he has presented several solutions and projects to resolve the crisis, but they remain unaddressed, urging the cabinet to implement economic solutions in order to accommodate new graduates.
