Speaker Nabih Berri said during Wednesday’s deputies gathering that “there are no updates or changes in the issue of the cabinet formation,” noting that “they have been waiting for two months and nothing happened.”
“We are currently in urgent need for an effective government to handle the economic and social crises and to activate the role of the public institutions.”
The speaker also tackled the issue of the housing loans, stressing the need to find a solution as soon as possible, given the grave repercussions left on a wide factions of citizens.
Berri reiterated that he would give it one more week, before he calls for a consultation session on the cabinet matter.
