Advisor to the Prime Minister, former MP Ammar Houry said Monday that the position of Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil at the Arab League does not represent the position of the government, noting that the statement issued by PM Hariri was clear in this regard.
In a statement to LBCI’s Nharkom Said, Houry said that Bassil can go to Syria as the leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, but cannot go there representing the Lebanese government.
He added that Bassil’s statement has no content, asking about the measures taken by Jordan and Iraq in terms of refugees return.
Houry also pointed out that “the era has many opportunities to succeed if invested correctly.”
