Aoun: Corruption is Lebanon’s biggest catastrophe

President Michel Aoun said on Monday that corruption is Lebanon’s biggest catastrophe, adding that the fight against it is a very critical operation.

Aoun’s comments were made while receiving visitors at the Baabda Presidential Palace whereby he noted that he will not backtrack in his battle against corruption.

“If we do not wage this war Lebanon will never rise and all countries are supporting us,” he added.

On another note, Aoun stressed that no one can be accused of squandering public funds before the results of investigations.
