A man who won almost $14,282,544.21 on a Las Vegas fruit machine is donating it all to charity.

The lucky gambler, who asked to keep his name private, spent $20 (£13) on a Megabucks slot machine at the Rampart Casino when he hit the jackpot on Sunday.

Proving that everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, the man now plans to give all his winnings to good causes.

Jenifer Smith, a spokeswoman from Rampart Casino said that she believed the man to be in his late fifties, and was not a regular gambler but decided to play the fruit machine while with a friend who was visiting.

He now plans to build a new house of worship for his church because it has been holding services in a high school gymnasium, the casino said.
