REPORT: Parliament’s budget discussions marked by political rhetoric

The Lebanese parliament continued, for the second day, discussions regarding the budget, as well as other issues that were tackled by the deputies in their speeches.

 

MP Simon Abi Ramia raised the issue of growing unemployment, calling for declaring a state of youth rescue emergency.

 

MP Samy Gemayel spoke of the waste in the field of electricity.

 

MP Nawaf al-Moussawi discussed the issue of the refugees, hoping that the budget discussions would result in reducing the taxes passed by the parliament.
