REPORT: What are the issues most witnessed by the Lebanese people?

A study was conducted by the Hague Institute for Innovation of Law in cooperation with the Arab Center for the Development of the Rule of Law, surveying 6000 people including 1200 Syrian refugees regarding their need for justice to resolve their problem.

The study showed that 68% of adults (or around 3 million people) had at least one legal problem during the last four years.

23% of the issues were disputes between neighbors, 20% issues at work and employment while 13 % of the problems were family issues.

These problems are the most frequent and the most dangerous in Lebanon.

Other issues include theft, divorce, failure to pay rent and causing continuous noise.

These problems are found in greater rates in South Lebanon and Nabatieh governorates with 92%.
