Lebanon ranks 80 in Human Development Index for 2017
According to a study carried out by the United Nations Development Program, Lebanon ranked 80 out of 189 states in Human Development Index for 2017.
The HDI was created to emphasize that people and their capabilities should be the ultimate criteria for assessing the development of a country, not economic growth alone.
The index ranks human development based on 3 criteria:
1-    Living a long and healthy life
2-    Having access to knowledge
3-    Having a decent life
