In his speech during the ceremony held to commemorate October 13, Free Patriotic Movement Chief Gebran Bassil said that the agreement with the Future Movement needs review, since the two parties have been separated by the cabinet formation negotiations, after they had previously reached a settlement over the presidency and the premiership.
In turn, the Future Movement agrees over the need to review the settlement, noting that this agreement is between Aoun and Hariri while the FPM is not concerned in its details.
On another note, Bassil said that the Maarab agreement had been violated since the coup on the era following the confusing resignation of PM Hariri in Saudi Arabia last year.
The Lebanese Forces also responded to Bassil’s remarks, accusing him of a coup against the Maarab agreement and disrespecting it.
