MP Karameh: Consultative Gathering did not ask Aoun to waive a minister from his share
MP Faysal Karameh asserted on Thursday that the Consultative Gathering has nothing to do with ideas and suggestions before they were submitted to it for discussion.

“The sole key for the current crisis is in the hands of Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri who is not practicing his constitutional powers,” Karameh said speaking on behalf of the Consultative Gathering.

This as Karameh stressed that the Consultative Gathering did not demand President Michel Aoun to waive a minister from his share, adding that initiative came from him.

“However, we were surprised that the renunciation was conditional, which denies its concessional nature” he added.

As for the economic summit, Karameh said that avoiding the invitation of Syria to the summit does not serve Lebanon, which has adopted the dissociation policy.

“It is all right to postpone the economic summit until Syria regains its normal place in the Arab League,” he concluded by saying.
