5,500 tons of garbage are now stockpiled in Keserwn and Metn streets-[REPORT]
On June 8, the municipalities of Jdeideh and Bourj Hammoud submitted a letter to the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities requesting to protect the workers in the Jdeideh and Bourj Hammoud landfill from waste pickers who enter the landfill and collect recyclable materials, especially iron, copper and aluminum.
This letter came after some of them attacked workers at the company of contractor Danny Khoury and stabbed them with knives refusing to leave the site.
