REPORT: Repercussions of the Lebanese Civil War translated in a contemporary dance

Choreographer Omar Rajeh presented a creation of contemporary dance in which five women representing survivors of the Lebanese Civil War who are still struggling with past residues express their frustrations through dance.

Five dancers, two of which are male performers disguised as women, transmit the suffering of an oppressed society that survived the war.

The choreography reflects the suppression of the Lebanese people who didn’t seem to overcome the war and its conflicts.
