Ukraine announces that Russia begins ground attack in Kharkiv

Russia has begun a ground attack in Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine where battles are taking place between them and Kyiv's forces, according to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on Friday.

The ministry said, "At around 5 a.m. (02:00 GMT), the enemy attempted to breach our defensive line under the cover of armored vehicles." A high-ranking Ukrainian military source confirmed that Russian forces advanced one kilometer.
