Hariri meets Kahwagi in Ministry of Defense

Future Movement leader MP Saad Hariri said on Monday that the current phase which the country is passing through is “crucial and critical,” adding that the military institution was able to confront any danger that threatens Lebanon.

Hariri’s comments were made following his visit to Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Jean Kahwagi in the Ministry Defense at Yarze.

He noted that he is deploying efforts in order to show support to the army despite the suspension of the arms deal by Saudi Arabia.

This as Minister of Defense Samir Moqbel joined the meeting between Hariri and Kahwagi.

Riyadh had suspended the package pledged in 2013 for the Lebanese army, saying it was a response to Beirut's failure to condemn attacks on the kingdom's missions in Iran.
