President Michel Aoun received Thursday at the Baabda presidential palace the United States Ambassador to Lebanon Elisabeth Richard, who briefed him on the outcome of the meetings held with the joint military committee between the Lebanese and US armies, during LAF Commander Joseph Aoun’s latest visit to the US capital.
The US ambassador deemed the outcome of the meetings very good, stressing the importance and strength of the cooperation with the Lebanese army.
She also indicated that she put Aoun in the picture of the meetings she had held with the US officials and which focused on the situation in Lebanon and the latest regional developments.
