Tension renewed on Monday outside the residence of MP Faisal Karami in the northern city of Tripoli, after stones were thrown between the protesters and individuals from inside the premises of the residence.
The Lebanese army intervened and attempted to keep the protesters away from the house in order to alleviate the tension. Tear gas was also fired in order to disperse the protesters.
Earlier in the day, protesters had dumped garbage outside the houses of the city’s politicians.
