Cabinet session postponed after failing to reach quorum

The cabinet session that was scheduled for Friday afternoon was postponed until next Wednesday after failing to reach quorum. Change and Reform bloc’s ministers boycotted the session and two ministers from Walid Jumblatt’s National Struggle Front did not attend.

President Michel Sleiman held a closed meeting with PM Najib Mikati before the scheduled session to discuss the general situation and the latest developments.
