MP Houry says Hezbollah's interrogation of diplomats tarnishes Lebanon's image

Future bloc MP Ammar Houry slammed on Monday the notion of self-imposed security, noting that this phenomenon has been widespread in Beirut, mainly in the region of Msaytbeh.

In an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, MP Houry pointed out that "Hezbollah's interrogation of diplomats tarnishes Lebanon's image," he said in reference to a recent incident that took place in Beirut when a Hezbollah checkpoint stopped a convoy of Saudi diplomats.

MP Houry also lashed out at Hezbollah's alignment with the Syrian regime, noting that the group is seeking a blocking third in order to avoid fateful decisions in the Lebanese government.

In this regard, MP Houry said that Hezbollah did not hold consultations with any Lebanese party when the group decided to wage a war in Syria, adding that the March 14 coalition is not betting on regional developments.
