Forest fire erupts in valley between the areas of Mar Chaaya and Beit Misk

A huge fire erupted in the valley stretching from Broummana's Mar Chaaya neighborhood and Beit Misk in the Metn district.

Firefighters are currently attempting to reach the source of the blaze in the highly forested area, which was further aggravated by high wind speed.

LAF choppers were also called in to facilitate with the extinguishing process.

This as residents have appealed to the concerned authorities in order to contain the situation.
