Shops owners cut off al-Manar TV road in Bir Hassan with burning tires
Owners of commercial shops cut off on Friday al-Manar TV road in South Beirut’s Bir Hassan with burning tires to protest against keeping the road closed following the twin blasts that hit the region on Wednesday.

Accordingly, the Lebanese Armed Forces tasked with protecting the TV channel’s security intensified their deployment in the area, for fear of a distraction process aiming at implementing a terrorist attack.

On Wednesday morning, two explosions rocked South Beirut's Bir Hassan region near the Iranian Cultural Center, across the Kuwaiti Embassy roundabout, killing at least ten and wounding 129 others. The explosions were caused by suicide bombers and explosive-laden vehicles.

The Abdullah Azzam Brigades claimed responsibility for the twin attack via their twitter account, a group affiliated with al-Qaeda and one that had previously attacked the area citing Hezbollah's interference in the Syrian crisis as the main reason, demanding the release of Muslim inmates from Lebanese prisons.
