Lebanese army arrests 18 Syrian nationals in Arsal
The Lebanese Armed Forces have managed to arrest, in the last few days, 18 Syrian nationals in the northeastern border town of Arsal.

The detainees, who were trying to enter the Lebanese territories with forged identification papers, admitted to having paid $250 for each counterfeit document.

The border town of Arsal has been grappling with a series of bomb attacks, shelling from the Syrian side and ongoing attempts by Syrians to infiltrate into Lebanon.

It is also host to thousands of Syrian refugees who have set up tented settlements on the outskirts of the town.

This comes as a result of the fighting taking place in Syria between Syrian government troops and rebels seeking to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.
