President of the Syriac League Habib Afram told LBCI that the current issue surpasses their representation in the cabinet and goes beyond a ministerial portfolio, stressing that the issue is related to their dignity. “We cannot accept to be treated this way, as if plurality is no longer accepted,” he added.
Afram noted that “if this 'era' is not fair with these sects, then there will be a crisis with the regime,” explaining that they do not seek to take from the share of any group.
He refused to receive promises that will not be met, saying that otherwise, they will reconsider the relations.
