Chinese President to meet Blinken on Friday

Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Friday, according to officials in Beijing and Washington, as part of Blinken's visit to China in an attempt to ease tensions between the world's two major economic powers.

Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong, who met with Blinken during his visit to Beijing, announced the upcoming meeting with Xi, which was confirmed by a US State Department official.
