Deputy Prime Minister Ghassan Hasbani met Thursday with President Michel Aoun and briefed him on the outcome of his recent visit to the United States, during which he represented the president during the annual ceremony of the US institution to support Lebanon.
Following the meeting, Hasbani said he held positive sideline meetings during his visit to the United States, which emphasized the ongoing support for the Lebanese army, deeming the army and the banking institutions as the main pillars of stability.
Hasbani also urged the cabinet to look into the national budget as quickly as possible, to include integrated rather than partial solutions to all challenges we face.
