Rifi to LBCI: Our loss is great but we’ll continue our mission whatever it takes

The director general of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) Major General Ashraf Rifi announced on Saturday that Lebanon lost a great man, confident that this loss will be compensated for.

Commenting on the assassination of General Wissam Hassan, Rifi told LBCI “Our loss is great but we will compensate for it and we will continue our mission whatever it takes.”

Rifi explained that threats have been on the rise since the beginning of Samaha’s case, adding “additional precautions were taken but nothing is 100% guaranteed; the perpetrator of this crime is a professional.”
