Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab chaired on Friday at the Grand Serail, a meeting dedicated to following up on World Bank projects in Lebanon.
The meeting was attended by Ministers Zeina Akar and Ramzi Musharrafieh, in addition to Acting Director General of the Ministry of Finance Georges Maarawi, PCM Secretary General Judge Mahmoud Makie, PM Office Head Judge Khaled Akkari, World Bank Regional Director for the Middle East Saroj Kumar Jha, World Bank’s representative in Lebanon Mona Kouzi, Lead Social Protection, Jobs, and Gender Specialist at the World Bank Haneen Sayed, and World Bank’s Middle East regional senior counsel Natalia Robalino.
The meeting deliberated on the World Bank loan allocated to support the poorest families in Lebanon and its implementation and disbursement mechanism.
Diab stressed the need to adopt a unified and transparent database for the distribution of loan funds to targeted families.
