Berri overlooks call for parliament session aimed at receiving Armenian President

Speaker Nabih Berri decided on Friday to overlook the call for a general parliamentary session on November 27th aimed at receiving the Armenian President Serge Sarkissian.

The reason behind this decision is the appointment of Maronite Patriarch Mar Beshara Boutros Rai as Cardinal in the Vatican whereby several minister and MPs will take part.

Berri however invited all the MPs to a gala lunch in honor of the Armenian President at his residence in Ain El-Tineh and considered the invitation personal.
