Mikati holds series of meetings

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati received on Friday new ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Lebanon Ahmed bin Muhammad al-Saidi, whereby they discussed the bilateral relations and ways to develop them in all fields.

He then received German MP Paul Zimak, at the head of a delegation from the German Parliamentary and Economic Cooperation Committee in the presence of German ambassador to Lebanon Andreas Kindl.

During the meeting, the delegation informed Mikati that the preparations for holding a joint Lebanese-German parliamentary conference in Berlin early next year on the issue of reforms and economic and technological cooperation between both countries are ongoing.

Later in the day, Mikati received a delegation from the Arab Voluntary Union, which hoped that the PM would sponsor the launch of the voluntary youth vision project on the fifth and sixth of next December under the title "Towards Integration and Reducing Inequality".

He then met with Caretaker Information Minister Ziad al-Makari, and discussed with him the affairs of the ministry.

He also received MP Jihad al-Samad, then former Minister Abdel Rahim Mrad, and former Minister Mohamed Choucair.
