Mikati calls on the new government to fight corruption

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati delivered a speech on Sunday at the 4th Conference by the Arab Network for Boosting Honesty and Combating Corruption whereby he stressed that “the government has voiced readiness to fight corruption”, hoping that the new cabinet will prioritize this issue.

In this context, Mikati pointed out that the 'corrupted political work' takes a toll on the State’s administrations, noting that this phenomenon cannot be addressed without a clear decision to separate politics from the State.
