President Sleiman speaks against sending insurgents, weapons to Syria

President Michel Sleiman voiced opposition toward calls for sending insurgents and weapons into Syria and the establishment of training bases in Lebanon.

Sleiman's call comes in line with the Baabda Declaration, the adoption of the dissociation policy and safeguarding national unity and coexistence in Lebanon, presidential sources confirmed.

On another note, Sleiman held a meeting with the governor of Banque du Liban Riad Salameh whereby Salameh reassured Sleiman over the increasing deposits and the financial situation in the country.
