Luxembourg pledges support as PM Salam calls for pressure to end war in Lebanon

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received a phone call from Luxembourg’s Prime Minister Luc Frieden, who expressed “his country’s solidarity with Lebanon,” emphasizing “the need to respect its sovereignty and territorial integrity” and to uphold international law.

For his part, Prime Minister Salam stressed that “Lebanon relies on Luxembourg’s support in helping address the humanitarian crisis caused by the displacement of around twenty percent of the Lebanese population,” calling for “all possible pressure to be applied to stop the war on Lebanon.”
