REPORT: Rafik Hariri Hospital employees hold sit-in over salary delays
Rafik Hariri Hospital employees staged on Monday a sit-in and said they are closing the emergency room entrance over delays in salary payments.

The hospital employees, who say they haven’t received their salaries since 24/12/2014, slammed the failure to settle their case and said they do not trust promises made in the last few days.

They also reiterated their call to fully grant them their rights, saying “we are ready to take any step through legal means”.

The Bir Hassan based state hospital has long been the scene of protests held by employees who continuously complain of lack of amenities at the health facility.

They claim their protests come in line of "the administration’s failure to pay their salaries.”

The protesters have also called on officials to prioritize the situation of the said institution, urging them to hold all defaulters accountable.
