On Saturday night, masked gunmen stormed into the offices of the Lebanese Forces and Kataeb parties in Akkar and burned their banners and flags, according to footage provided by surveillance cameras set up in the area.
The Kataeb party issued a statement deeming these actions as an interpretation to threats launched by parties that do not believe in Lebanon.
In turn, the Lebanese Forces said that this incident will not scare the party or affect its resolve.
For its part, the Syrian Social Nationalist Party in Akkar rejected all accusations claiming that it stands behind these acts.
Supporters of the LF and Kataeb parties staged a solidarity gathering in the Akkar town of Miniara.
