Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah declared that the drones operation in Beirut southern suburb was a failure, since the first drone failed to hit the target intended and the second also failed to complete the mission.
In a speech he delivered on the third Ashoura night, Nasrallah said that “Israel, the tyrant and arrogant, claiming to possess the region’s strongest army, was seen by the world scared and worried during 8 days.”
He said Hezbollah broke "the biggest red line for dozens of years" for Israel by targeting it across border, not in Shebaa farms.
The Shiite party chief reiterated that since the beginning, they said that they will not remain silent and will not accept the new equations, adding that they refused to waste the achievements of the July war and will respond.
Nasrallah explained that “the response will come under two headlines, one on the ground along the border with occupied Palestine, and the second is related to the Israeli drones violating the Lebanese airspace.”
“On the Lebanese scene, the army remained stationed and the people in high spirits, while the resistance worked in broad daylight; we meant not to operate during the night, which one of the reasons behind the delay,” he explained, stating that the resistance hit deeply, not on the border.
“We remained patient and when the target appeared, we hit,” he said.
